Our Anniversary Dinner
This is the first review I have ever given. My wife and I came tonight for our 12th wedding anniversary. We had the best time. We have been all over the world and this evening was one of our favorites. I recommend everyone come and have one of the best evenings of their lives. Staff is fantastic, the food was excellent and the show made me laugh till I cried.
Thank You so much

Awe, Thank You So Much!
"We had the best team outing EVER! Your staff was amazing and we truly enjoyed ourselves. I'll be honest, I got some slack after announcing what we were going to be doing, but within 10 minutes of being at Bissell, everyone was laughing and in high spirits. I can't thank you enough for such a great turnout. We will definitely be returning in the near future. :)

Awards Ceremony Held at Bissell Mansion
"Our company held our awards ceremony here for our 2016 Annual Managers Conference. We had a delightful experience. The staff was welcoming and a blast to get into character with. The mystery was fun to solve and was well played. They served us delicious courses throughout the act breaks. Definitely worth the visit!" Ð Pedcor Homes Corporation, Carmel, IN.

Kris and Joey's Wedding
It was a great night. Everyone was having a blast and laughing. Kris and I appreciate the extra mile you and John took in tailoring your play to our needs.
We also liked how you included how we met and how far about we lived, you guys are awesome. We are already talking about coming to see you guys at bissell again. (Maybe around christmas time when Elvis is in town, lol)
You both were great and we appreciate all you done for us.

Congratulations you Newly Weds! What an Awesome night!
Things heard last night: Last night I heard "Elvis" say, 'This is the Greatest Wedding Ever!'
And the little blonde boy told John and I (He must be watching I Love Lucy episodes). 'I see you on TV. Remember when you were reading that book and Ricky tried to take it away?'. I said, 'Yes I remember that'. He said, 'You look just like you do on the TV, but Ricky, you look a lot bigger in person!' Ha Ha.
It was a memorable night for both John and I. Thank you for making us such a big part of your Special Day.

WIBN Meet the Board Dinner
I just wanted to say THANK YOU.
Everyone had such a great time and so enjoyed the atmosphere, the food and service. Your folks Mel and Andy couldn't have been more helpful ... they really helped to make it a special evening. Andy shared some wonderful history and haunted stories and Mel was very accommodating and thoughtful to our needs. I appreciate the security guard to escort the ladies to their cars ... a value added bonus I wasn't expecting, but greatly appreciated.
I gave a shout out for the Christmas Sleigh-ing dinner theater in my recap of the event to members and suggested that maybe a group of us gather and have a night out!
Again, thank you for all your assistance and support for our event and helping to make it a memorable evening ... maybe I see you at a Christmas Sleigh-ing.
Be well and Happy

Wonderful Company Dinner
We had a wonderful time! My boss took us there for a company dinner, and it was so much fun! The actors were friendly and hilarious, and they did an excellent job of picking everyone's parts. I usually loathe shows with audience participation, but this was low pressure and fun, and the actors didn't pick on or embarrass you. The jokes are corny, but I laughed at every single one! Great food, great time!

I want to thank you for making last Saturday night a wonderful return after 9 years (we moved from Indiana to Arizona). The 11th was our 17th First Date Anniversary and we thank Bissell for the audience acknowledgement as well as the little bottles of wine. We had been to Bissell at least a dozen times while in Indiana and the acting and food continue to be top notch.
Personally I also want to thank you for providing the parking spot in the upper lot. I now have an artificial hip and can walk with a cane as long as it is not too long or steep.
Good friends of ours met us and as newbies thoroughly enjoyed it. They have family in St. Louis and I suspect you will see them in the future.
I will be 70 next year and don't know if my wife and I will return to Bissell, we hope so.

Strange Image Caught in Mirror
On Saturday, April 20, 2013 I spoke with one of the employees after our Diner experience. (Very Nice) I explained why our students were so interested in the mirror on the 1st floor. I had taken a picture of the mirror a year before and found two faces. One expected and one not. I could see the actress in the mirror and took her picture that night. When I looked later I thought she looked very different than I remembered her. But more interesting was the face below her chin. It looks like the bearded man in the picture found in the same room. The angle from which the picture was taken would not account for a reflection of the picture in the mirror.
I hope you could follow my explanation. If you have any further questions feel free to email back.
Roosevelt Middle School greatly enjoyed our evening and look forward each year to our visit.

What a Great Place!
What a great place! We had a blast! Private show for 52 people from Medford, WI high school. We filled the place up! The kids will be talking about this for years - OK, us adults too! Won't lie to you ... a bit creepy on a dark and cold rainy night. Where else would an old mansion be except in an old part of town. PLEASE GO - you will have the time of your life. This is a unique and special style of theatre. Just good people!

"We had a blast"
Went here with my wife a few weeks ago and we had a blast. If you enjoy participatory events, lots of laughing and crying because of your laughing go to this place! The food is served in over abundant fashion and while you receive a bunch I wouldn't say world class cuisine. But, it's good and fills you up!
Have a fun time. I think if you decide to go bring along a few other people such as family members who need to step out of their shells, this adds to the enjoyment at least it did for my wife and I.

We were in St. Louis for a "mini-gateway" weekend. We wanted to do something different so we went to the Bissell Mansion Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre. Check-in was very easy and we were given our parts when we checked in. Appetizers were located in a room right off of the bar. The cast and guests mingled before the show started. The food was great. I had the chicken. The chocolate mousse was awesome. The meal came with wine. The show was very fun and interactive. Some of the other guests were rude but not rowdy (no fault of the Bissell Mansion, it's not like they could control the attitude of the people). I would recommend this if you want to do something fun and different while in St. Louis.

"Great Place for a party"
One of the great treasure of St. Louis from the past. It's a great place to host a birthday party or attend their murder mystery events.
(Reviewed February 3, 2012)
Good afternoon to you.
My name is Lee Beatty and I am just writing to thank you for a GREAT time this past Saturday. My wife and I, along with two friends from the church, came to visit the Bissell Mansion and we had a blast! That play was so much fun with the interactions of the audience were hysterical. It was an honor to meet Missouri Smith and his lovely companion whose name escapes me (please forgive me). But, they were so funny and so tolerant of us hammy but inexperienced participants.
The meal was fine, the atmosphere memorable and all in all, we will be back again and again and again.
Thank all of you for giving us a Saturday to remember for years to come. My hats off to all of you, the waiters and waitresses, the greeters, the cooks, the players and everyone that I may have missed.
Have a glorious day, a beautiful Christmas and a Happy, Happy New Year.

Great fun, food, 'theatre'! - Review of Bissell Mansion Restaurant
We went with another couple to celebrate an anniversary. It had been a while since we had been there so we weren't sure what play to expect this time. I might add the previous visit was for a Christmas gathering.
Our host/hostess were great, the wait staff - right on cue, awesome! The appetizers were very good, the main meal choice was great! I had the mild white fish with almond cream sauce. It was delectable! The other in our group also indicated their food choices were excellent as well - one had chicken and the other steak. The vegetables were a little overcooked and the salad your basic lettuce salad, for dessert we were served a portion of chocolate mousse that was the perfect item to top off a lovely evening!
Yes, as another reviewer mentioned, it is $50 per person, but this includes all except alcoholic beverages. I challenge you to find another place that you can have a lovely dinner and great theater for $50. We will go again.

Your actors were superb. They amazed all of us and keep the group laughing and most of all they created a competitive atmosphere once things started. Everyone told me that was the best show they had ever been in. We all enjoyed the evening and it is one we want forget, Thanks to John & Brenda. The script was great and everything went smoothly. You would have thought we had practiced for weeks. This was a great selection on my part and it means a lot to have my comrades come to me and tell me what a wonderful time they had.
Our Sincere Thanks

We had a wonderful time being members of your play! I really thought the Queen of Hearts and the Joker killed Humpty as they "split the deck " with the ax and accidentally hit Humpty. Oh, well, those darn chipmunks!
Great fun! Wonderful dinner!

On behalf of the Stanley-Boyd High School Choral and Band students, directors, and parents/chaperons/booster club members, I would like to personally THANK-YOU for the WONDERFUL evening we shared with you on Friday, April 16th.
Although the food was AMAZING and enjoyed by everyone, the "Murder Mystery" was definitely the HIGHLIGHT for the students! The Wolf and Wicked Witch that we had the pleasure to work with were AWESOME and the students in my group had such a WONDERFUL time playing the roles and various characters that they were still talking about it on the bus ride home from St. Louis yesterday!
THANK-YOU again for the memorable evening!
